Happy Samhain
Halloween

Rise oh rise,
Oh welcome to my home
my beloveds.
Fear not
as we worship your resurrection.

Time to remember
the deeds
and the songs
of yours and yours truly.

With a lantern
of sweets
and laughter,
praises and candles
brighten your way.
oh dear ones!

Memories are unfolding
out of the darkness,
smiles and cheers
welcome you here
in the present.

Death, I do not fear
as it will surround us tonight,
calmly and without pain
as we join hands with our loved ones
again.

Beltane

See the fertility rise from the ground,
Dance the May pole round & round,
Jump the fires set at Beltane,
We see the Goddess rise again.

Through the eyes,
there was a perception
And the quick like skill
of knowledge and wisdom which
danced through the leaves
in the velvet night.

The moon beamed
around the forest
thick and dense,
silvery rays of light
peered through the craggy shadows.

The night was
for the souls of return
who had left their baggage
in the earth below
The stillness breathed heavy all around

Taking flight
into the darkened air
small graceful movements of the featherless friends
Carried the truth of life beyond
As life starts and life ends with a cycle of eternity

My heart is with the maiden
As she is wild and free
Riding on the spirit
Of the wind
Burning with the fire
Of the sun
My love is for the mother
Who tends to her children
Nurturing her growing flock
My soul is with the crone
Who watches over me
Sending me messages
Of wisdom and truth

My sisters.

Sweet are the flowers
Deep is the song
Far over the hills
Where you belong
Our lives have changed
So green and so fresh
Ike dew laying silver
In a new borns’ nest
For as I can see
Our two worlds are apart
But our friendship is deep
As a bird song sent by the lark
For magic is the key
Which drew us to meet
And as the ground softened
Our hearts did so beat
For together we spoke
Of the lives in our belly
Never did we see our pastures so new.
And that way forward
Is so meant to be
For you are the star that’s shown me the way
And I am the rock that sits on the hill.

Lammas

Now is time to gather the first harvest

fruits and corn ripened to their best

we reap the rewards of the seeds sown

which we nurtured till fully grown

I give thanks for the bounties in our life

that we gained through determination and strife

we now must mourn the suns waning power

and give way to darkness and sleep by the hour

we gather our harvest in the present

we sowed the seeds in the past

we enjoy the rewards in the future

we shall see another circle cast.

Thank you fruits and thank you bread

for making sure we are fed.

Blessed Be

Summer Solstice poem

Midsummer gives us the longest day and shortest night

the shortest dark and longest light

the sun is at it's maximum power

encouraging from the earth many a flower

as these flowers blossom and bloom

our hopes and dreams will come all too soon

the earth is glowing green and bright

the sun ascends with warmth and might

all around us light and life are growing

we feel our strength and creativity flowing

Blessed Be

Endless

Uncomparatively endless!
Though we are its children;
A breed of one of its many many creations.
It breathes silently in the darkness.
Yet do you hear its roar?
Spinning,
We spin without knowing.
Caught in a revolving door,
Which exit to choose?
Bravely to step forward;
Slowly, yet surely.
Straining our every sense,
To hear,
To feel,
To understand, it’s presence.
We greet ourselves;
Come to an agreement,
And journey on.

Pied Wagtail

Tell me tiny
black and white bird
with the tail that wags,
what do you see while
at your morning orisons.
Do you see her whom
we would worship?
I think you must for
your simple life reflects
her radiance and glory.
Teach me little friend
to walk in beauty
with the Earth as my
mother.
and the sky as my
father.

The Big Bad Wolf?

He was there again today, just watching
and waiting for me to acknowledge him.
Big Wolfy eyes glowing like molten gold,
full of timeless wisdom reaching out
from the spirit world.
As I gaze into those eyes I begin to see
what freedom means, the freedom of wildness.
I feel a change start in me a metamorphosis
my body merging with his bringing
a sense of freedom.
Let's run he says starting to bound away
across endless forests of the mind,
and I am lost, lost in the world of sound and scent
and the scurrying of little creatures.
But I am found as well, in him i find acceptance
the oneness and completeness of the pack.
All to soon its time to come to my senses and return.
This time is different though he leaves as well,
and comes with me as guide, protector and friend.
